Leave Hallhill (back entrance) and turn right into the woods (on the path). Follow the route to the A1 underpass. Go under the underpass and turn right. At Spott roundabout, turn left and head uphill to Pitcox, Stenton, direction Garvald. After the steep hill up take the 2nd right past Whitinghame House. Turn left after Whitinghame House. Stick to the Haddington road. Once at Haddington, turn right for Hailes. Turn left for Netherhailes and cycle past Hailes Castle. Continue on route until you reach the road, turn left and cross the old A1 into East Linton. Turn right for Tyninghame. Nice coffee shop here. From Tyningham, turn right direction Dunbar. Turn first left and take the John Muir trail to Dunbar. At the animal farm, join the old A1 (turn left). Turn right at West Barns and take the country route back to Hallhill. |
