| Start at the main Waverley Station before heading down Leith Walk towards the Coast. Cut through the side streets of Leith and end up on Leith Links. Head East towards Portobello and pick up the Coastal Path. Follow this all the way to Fisherow, Musselburgh. Cross the river Esk via the public foot bridge and along past the Musselburgh Race Course. After this you are heading for Prestonpans and there is an path that follows the coast (John Muir Walk) or you can cycle on the road. Once you are on the A198 this will take you all the way to North Berwick. There is a short cut into Gullane via the John Muir Walk but this will depend on what bike you are cycling as it can get muddy. |
