This is a mixed route, on roads, footpaths and canals, that is relatively flat, but as we know there are hills in Edinburgh, so it's impossible to avoid them at times. The route heads out towards Newhaven and the North Sea. Turns left and goes around the coast, through Crammond, Barnton and Barnbougle Castle to Queensferry. You then head inland towards Dalmenny, Kirkliston, Newbridge and Ratho. It's then across through Edinburgh back to the start. |
