Cycle Steps
This is a road route, mainly on the R105, but with a scenic ride along the sea front road via Clontarf at the start and finish. The route is flat all the way to Sutton Cross, where it changes to a slow ascent up towards Howth. You then get a fast descent into Howth village, before you re-trace your route back on the flat again along the sea front through Clontarf.

Coming from Glasnevin I have a bit of extra distance, but the views from Howth on a nice evening are well worth it!

Great cycle, love it. lovely view along the sea front into sutton. The hill up from sutton to howth head is a steady climb. Nice burn though. Really nice views of dublin bay. I did the Howth section the other way around recently for a change, Really steep going up from Howth harbor but if your a bit of a speed junkie like me, you'll get some speed up on the way back all the way down to sutton. if you just going for a leisurely spin, great place at the lighthouse to sit and have a snack and enjoy the whew. Enjoy
