Pretty strait forward, it is 7.67 miles long, 15.34 miles there and back in total. This is an easy route, that can be completed in about 45 minutes, travelling at 10 mph. Most of the time the terrain is flat, but occasionally you will come across a hill or 2. Enjoy.

Quite an easy ride with a mix of horses and walkers. Not a lot to look at as this route is mainly lined with trees.

I found the route beautifully lined with woodland, picnic spots, well surfaced tarmac for cycling. I raced along it on a road bike on a quiet day but a great ride for the family too. More please!

Going from Heathfield direction is fine and reasonably flat, in places feels nicely downhill. Coming back seems a constant incline so you and any family would need to be quite fit to do both directions. I am reasonably fit but was quite tired by the time I arrived back at Heathfield. (must be out of practice.) My girlfriend is very fit from walking but even she was glad when we got back....
