West out of Harrogate along Penny Pot Lane - four miles of fairly straight lane to get warmed up on. Then heading North West up the upper Washburn Valley - a few short sharp hills around 11 - 12 miles. Then heading back East (great Dales scenery) and dropping into Nidderdale. Stiff pull up in Summerbridge to wierd rocky landscape of Brimham Rocks. Pleasant lanes with great views gently descending back towards Harrogate from the North. |
