| 40 mile circular route. takes in some lovely countryside roads. some steep inclines and fast downhills. the only really treacherous part is crossing the A64. road from upper helmsley to malton is about a 10 mile undulating stretch. fast road but not many cars on it. once you've navigated your way through Malton, follow signs to castle howard. although the route takes you past the top end of castle howard you could turn left and stop off here if you wanted. | |
