Set off from Irlam to Irlam Locks & cross M/Cr ship canal on the footbridge on to Irlam Road - follow Irlam Road, which goes on to Flixton Road, onto Bowfell Road onto Moorside Road, onto Hayeswater Road & up to Nag's Head Circle onto Lostock Road, down to Barton Road via underpass - follow Barton Road & go under rail bridge & take next left onto Melville Road. At the top of Melville Road, dismount & cross over to Davyhulme Road East & follow this road down to Chester Road. Onto Chester Road & keep right to go on to Talbot Road - follow this road down to Old Trafford centre and keep straight to go on to Chester Road - keep left on Chester Road and follow this road & cross over junctions at Mancunion Way & follow road, passing Deansgate Rail Station on your right. Follow road up to traffic lights passing Hilton Tower on your right and turn right into Great Bridgewater Street. Follow this road up to the junction with Oxford Road and go striaght across on to Portland Street. Follow Portland Street straight up and Piccadilly Gardens is approx. one half mile up this road on your Left Hand Side. |
