Isle of Wight is an island and county situated south of the county of Hampshire on the south coast of England. It has a population of around 140 000 and 92 km of coastline. The island has six main towns which include Newport, Ryde, Cowes, Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor. The Isle of Wight has some amazing wildlife including rare bats, red squirrels and dormice among others and is well known for its dinosaur fossils. The island also boasts over 200 miles of cycle paths/routes including a 62 mile 'round the island' cycle route.
