Cycle Steps
This is a road route, on a mix of A, B and country roads, that takes in the North Lincs Wolds and varies from mild undulations to stiff climbs.
Starting from Keelby, head north towards Barton Upon Humber, via Ulceby and Wootton. At Wootton take quiet back roads towards Barton. On the outskirts, take a switch back via Deepdale towards Burnham, continuing across the A180 to Melton Ross. So far the route has had mild undulations, allowing you to keep a good pace. From here head towards Bigby, and then onto the A1084 to Grasby. You encounter, a short, but steep section on this leg, but once at Grasby, head towards the flatlands of Kelsey Moor for a breather. After passing through Moortown, head onto the B1205 to Nettleton, where you go onto the A46 and face a long uphill drag to Caistor top. From here, it's downhill all the way to Limber and finishing at Keelby.
Landmarks/Pubs for lunch/Sites to see?
Numerous places to stop - pubs and shops at Keelby, Ulceby, Wootton, Grasby and Nettleton. Pretty village ponds at Wootton and Limber, and impressive Pelhams Pillar near Caistor.
