This is a nice mid length route with a variety of small country roads, minor roads and only a short section of a busier road. The balance of hills and flat sections, long straights and bendy roads makes this a favorite for me. I do this usually at night so the roads are quieter and I have seen owls near wingrave and lots of deer at Ashridge.
Landmarks/Pubs for lunch/Sites to see?
Wipsnade zoo, Bison Hill, Wingrave pond, Grand Union canal crossings, Ashridge forest and a view of Ashridge House, Pubs in Kensworth, Eton bray, Northall, Slapton, Wingrave, Marcham, Cowroast, Little Gaddesden, Studham. Garage for snacks near Cowroast, vallage shops in Kensworth, Eton Bray, and little gaddesden. |

Thanks for sharing this ride, I followed it today and really enjoyed it. A nice ride to put in some mileage but not too hectic.
