| This is an undulating, road route, on a mix of A, B and coutry roads, that has a longish climb up from Rogate and one short, sharp hill at Lynchmere. This is used for the Libda Charity ride, which usually takes place in June. On the Charity Ride you leave Bohunt School heading for the Portsmouth Road mini-roundabout, B2070. At the roundabout turn right onto the B2070 and then right again at the next mini-roundabout, staying on the B2070, heading towards Rake. Follow the B2070 through Rake, Hill Brow and past Durford Wood, heading towards Sheet. After Durford Wood, and before Sheet, take the turn off on the left, off the B2070 and onto the A272, heading toward Rogate. Follow the A272 to the crossroads in Rogate, where you have the right of way. At the crossroads, turn left, off the A272, heading towards Rake. Follow the road up into the trees and take the turn off to the right, heading towards Milland. Follow the road to just before the T junction at Gatehouse Lane, where you turn left to a T junction at Gatehouse Lane. At the junction turn left and follow the road as it bends sharp right and becomes Bordel Lane. Follow this to the T junction. At the junction, turn left onto Cooks Pond Road, still heading for Milland. Follow this to the Rake Road T junction. At the junction, turn right, onto Rake Road, and follow this straight through Milland, where it becomes Fernhurst Road, heading towards Linch. Continue to follow the road through Linch, to the crossroads just before Elmers Marsh. Turn right at the crossroads, heading towards Fernhurst. Follow the road till it turns right and then left and take the next turn off on the left, heading towards Linchmere. Follow the road into Linchmere. In Linchmere, turn right, onto Linchmere Road, heading towards Camelsdale. Follow the road to the B2131 T junction. At the junction, turn left onto Liphook Road, B2131, heading towards Liphook. Follow the B2131 back to the B2070 mini-roundabout. At the roundabout, turn right onto Portsmouth Road, B2070, and then left at the next mini-roundabout, back onto Longmoor Road and the start point. |
