Loch Katrine to Aberfoyle via Queenie and Achray Forest Cycle Route

Use Os explore map365. Leave Loch Katrine car park, heading south on North Main Street. Take the first small road on the right (Water Board Signs). Follow the road till the first turn off to the left. Take this track and head across the bridge over the river. At the junction turn left and follow the track until the first sharp dog leg turn off to the right. Follow this to the T junction and turn left. Follow this track as it swings round to the right and then round to the left and then around to the right again. During this time ignore three turn offs to the left. After the third turn off to the left you will come to the edge of forest area on your right and the A821 over to your left. Follow the tree line for a short distance and watch for a small red marker on the left (these are used throughout the forest). Take the small track, on the left, down and over the A821. Follow the track ahead and at the info board go right. Follow this track until the first turn off to the right. Take this and follow it as it swings round to the left and until the first turn off to the right again. Take this track until you reach the fork in the track. Take the left track. Follow this track until the first dog leg turn off to the left. take this and hed up to the T junction. At the T junction turn right and follow the track till the fork. Take the right fork. second turn off to the right. Follow this until it merges with a track coming from the right and sweep round to the right until the first turn off to the right. During this time ignore two turn offs to the left. Take the right hand turn off and follow the track around till it becomes Arrachy Forest Drive. Follow this as it swings left and then right around the shores of Loch Drunkie. Continue on Arrochy Forest Drive until the T junction and follow signs for Aberfoyle(NCN7). |
