I designed this route in order to practise for the London to Brighton event in June which is a similar distance. The first few miles is not the most interesting as you make yourway from Farnborough to Hook. As soon as you get past Hook into Odiham you are on lovely A roads takinf you all the way through the pretty villages of Weston Patrick, Preston Candover and on to the markey town of Alresford. The landscape is fairly easy in terms of any substantial hills. As you get toward the final third, there are some quite big hills (in my opinion, if you are riding on a nice day you should be able to see all the way to the Isle of Wight from the vantage point just before you go down the hill to Owslbury. | |
