Start as Heighley Gate garden centre and head down the fords road being careful crossing the 3 fords. A fast descent into Rothbury then out along to Thropton then up to Snitter and around towards Alwinton. Now head east along the route of the Pennine Cycleway along quiet lanes passing Powburn then climbing up to the main road before another fast descent into Alnwick. Now head south down the coast for a few miles before heading inland back to Morpeth. |
