Part one of a two day route. Taking in some nice towns and ending at a nice youth hostel. Starting in the pirate town of Penzance you head for Helston which just happens to have one of the best pubs in the country (the blue anchor). From there you go on through some fantastic country side to Falmouth, pasties are advised at this point. After some lunch hop on the ferry to Saint Mawes and make the last section to the very welcome bed in the youth hostel at Boswinger. Beautiful countryside but as ever with Cornwall, be prepared for some really nasty hills. it may only be 40 miles but it is a hard 40 miles. especially if you are fully loaded. |
