This port located against the Irish Sea was once nicknamed, “Madogs Port” after the man who fell in love with this coastal town in the 1800’s. During the 19th century many shipbuilders came along and made this an active harbor. The Welsh language is mostly spoken and the people are friendly. Black Rock Sands, a popular spot, attracts people of all age to swim and sunbathe. The water is pleasant and invites many people to try jet skiing, power boats and fishing. For those more who would rather remain on land it offers quad biking, rock climbing, cycling and walking.
