1. A great circular route round the Isle of Purbeck, magnificent views and more cream teas than you can shake a stick at. Using the Priests Way and the Purbeck Way. |

Landmarks/Sites to see? |
Swanage has loads of tea shops, pubs and fish and chip shops. The views after the climb onto the Purbeck Way are outstanding.
Corfe Castle is worth a visit and the paties from the bakers on the market square are not to be missed. if you're still in need of sustenance or fancy a fossil hunt then Kimeridge will cater for your needs.
The climb back onto the Priests Way is rewarded with great views of the coast and the drop down into Kingston gives you another opportunity of a beer or two at the Scott Arms. The garden has fantastic views across the valley to Corfe Castle.
The easy pedal back to Langton Matravers on the road could be swapped for more Priest Way, but as I had destroyed my rear mech by this time I took the easy way.
It's a beautiful route but would probably be quite slippy after wet weather, but it's well worth doing if you can avoid all the cream tea and beer distactions. And as a last option follow the signs for Worth Matravers, worth a visit for the Square & Compass pub alone. NW
