1. Start at car park on Henley Road Go S down Bridge End & turn R into Watling Lane. Where this turns R, go L onto bridleway towards Days Lock. Cross bridges over Thames & carry on up track until manor reached on R. Take bridleway on L towards Wittenham Clumps (optional detour up to clumps is great place for picnic with wonderful views). Go through woods following track 7 diversion around far until wallingford Rd reached. Follow this over Thames & take next track on L following Thames path signs until Wharf Rd reached. Go across Henley Rd & follow road to Warborough. Through village take Hammer Lane on L 7 follow this straight on to bridleway which eventually reaches River Thame. Turn L & follow this until road at Overy reached. Turn R & follow path over weir (no cycling) which becomes path over meadows until outskirts of Dorchester reached. Turn L into Manor Farm Rd & then Queeen St turning L when Henley Rd reached to return to starting point. |
