Cycle Steps |
1. Exit McDonalds and cycle straight over the roundabout onto West Mains Road. |

2. Cycle along West Mains Road and take the 3rd road on the left Fairfield Place. |
|
3. Once in, running along side the road on the right hand side is a path, head on to that. The path will lead through some industrial units. |

4. When passing McConechy's Tyre & Exhaust Centres on your left handside the path turns 90 degrees to the right. |

5. Head along this path to the very end, leading on to Stewartfield Way. |
|
6. Head right along Stewartfield Road until you come to a roundabout. |
|
7. Head straight over the roundabout will take you into James Hamilton Heritage Park. |

8. Leaving out the rear right handside of James Hamilton Heritage Park, leads you on to Markethill Road. |

9. Turn left and head up the hill, travelling along to the end where there is a small junction. |
|
10. The road carries round to the right onto Cairnmuir Road, follow it for another mile, until you come to a T-Junction with Glasgow Road. |

11. Turn left on to Glasgow road. Have to be careful on this road, as it is very busy, however you should only be on this road for half a mile. |

12. After coming in to the 40 zone, take the first main road left on to Cathkin Road. |

13. Travel along Cathkin Road for about 3 to 4 miles passing Cathkin Braes Golf Club on your left. |

14. When you come to a sharp 90 right, take the road off to the left. |
|
15. Travel along this road until you come to a T-Junction. Turn left here, passing big electricity pylons on your left. |
|
16. This road leads back on to Markethill Road. Travel to the bottom of this and you will be back at the James Hamilton Heritage Park. |
