1. Follow the coast to Folkestone, using the sea wall from Greatstone, and the national cycle route, from Hythe. Then, climb the Downs using quiet lanes to reach Hawkinge. Then down via Etchinghall, pretty postling and Sellindge back to Aldington and then the Marsh. Route has a steep climb from sea level to 180m at Folkestone Downs and some minor climbs from Postling to Aldington on the fringes of the Downs and to reach the escarpment above the Marsh. | |
