| 1. The route takes small coutry lanes from Blackboys to the Cuckmere Haven going through Waldron, Chiddingly, Alfiston, The Cuckmere Valley and reaching the Cuckmere Haven at the mouth of the River Cuckmere. The return ride goes through the Friston Forest up onto the Southdowns and down into Polgate past the Wilmington Man and back along the Cuckoo Trail up to Maynards Green. Finally heading back through country lanes to Backboys. There are plenty of pubs on route from start to finish. |
