1. Scenic countryside route mainly on B roads.
Start out of Wroughton up Brimble Hill towards Chiseldon briefly turn onto Marlborough road then L up past Liddington Castle then R up B4192 then downhill into Aldbourne then R turn climb towards Axford.
Fast downhill into beautiful Kennet valley thro Axford/Mildenhall(pronounced Minal) into Marlborough(the green) straight over then turn R up Kingsbury Street at top keep straight on with Common on your R.Nice downhill swoop into Rockley then steady 2.5 mile climb to top of Hackpen Hill then steep twisty descent to A4361 at junc turn R onto Swindon road.After 2 miles with Airfield on R sharp descent down into Wroughton.CAREFUL!! traffic lights at bottom of hill. |
