Cycle Steps |
1. There are lots of major roads involved in this route - best tried at quieter times. Mostly flat but some hills around Amberley.
From the manor ground, go north through Broadwater and make your way west to the A24.
Take this North to the Washington roundabout where you turn left. Keep going to Storrington where you take a left at the roundabout just before the garage. keep on this road (a few ups & downs) to Amberley (watch out for traction engines & flies). Up the persistent hill to the roundabout on the A29, take the first left past the Arundel estate - a nice long downhill here! At the bottom, go across the roundabout & over the river Arun, skirting around Arundel & up to Crossbush. At the Daft interchange take the turn for Littlehampton carry on until the roundabout where you turn left onto the A259. This takes you all the way back to Worthing (lots of wide hard shoulders). Turn Right at the Southern Water roundabout, carry on through Tarring, alongside the high school and up Queen Street and back to the Manor Ground. |
