Cycle Steps |
1. Country roads with the odd busy A road. Route prepared for Virgin Media bike ride to the coast. Easy with one minor climb towards the end.
The start of the route is on busy roads so take care. Once over the M25 the route takes quiet back roads.
Little chance of you going wrong. Just keep heading South.
Route easily completed on a road or mountain bike with road tyres. I have ridden this route on numerous occasions and usually turn around and come back again after lunch in Brighton. A great day out.
Between the South Downs (near Box Hill) and the South Downs (Devils Dike) the route is reasonable flat. |

Landmarks/Sites to see? |
Devils Dyke - a reasonably steep hill climb at the end eith great views of Brighton the other side... all down hill from there.
Also passes within a few miles of Gatwick Airport - when you see planes you are about 2/3rds there.
Stop in Rusper at the village shop to stock up on refreshments (its about half way). The village also has a few pubs.
