| 1. A hilly route through the backwaters of northern Vietnam taking between 8-12 days. Passing through many villages on route it gives a view of the true Vietnam lifestyle. It includes many ascents the longest a 26km climb over the 1900m Tram Ton pass but this is revisited as a descent following an advised rest day in Cha Pa. It may be advisable to travel by vehicle and start this route in Son La finishing in Yen Bai to avoid extending this trip into the none rural ares around Hanoi. | |
