| 1. This route follows National Cylcle Route 2 and 15 between the two lighthouses. It follows the East Kent coast as much as possible. Most of the route is off road or on private road. Only the last few miles are on public roads. The first 7 miles are down hill and then very flat until nearing Ramsgate when the cliffs need to be negotiated. The last half mile is uphill. This route was chosen for a charity ride when over 50 cyclists of ages between 6 and 60 all successfully completed the course. |
