1. This probably won't be of much use to the average cycler, mainly because the most of you won't even get near here. However, it's quite an interesting route. It goes through two countries, but that shouldn't be much of a problem for anyone in the EU. The Austrian part is quite hilly, with climbs up to 16%, but mostly less. The route back uses the same roads as the first part, because I was out of imagination. There isn't too much traffic, aside from the first (and last) 8 miles.
It should be hard to get off course, since the area is extensively signposted. Just follow the signs:
Gederovci border crossing, Bad Radkersburg, Klöch, St.Anna am Aigen, Fehring
It's better if you turn around in Fehring, actually. I just made the few roads extra so at the end it added up to a nice 100 kilometers. Well, hope you like it! |
