| 1. From car park by caravan park through Burghead village to East (back shore), follow disused railway track to Hopeman, up hill through Hopeman to B9040, left (East) to end of village and on to sustrans bike track, follow track and minor roads to road/track junction, follow narrow track onto farm track past Spindlemuir Wood and back onto minor road, right at Kintrae Bridge, gentle uphill towards Quarry Wood, right at road junction, turn into wood approx 100m past power line crossing road, follow single track East to fence, go right, uphill to broad track on top of hill (variations possible in woods, local maps available) follow main track to car park/picnic area, right along road back tracking to Kintrae Bridge (nice cruise downhill), follow sustrans route 1 West crossing B9013, right at Kirkton and North to sewage works, approx 50m past works turn left into Roseisle Forest, follow 'purple' path to main trail and north to 'Burma Road' (see forest trail map) follow trail back to caravan park. |
