1. A 24 mile circular route that takes you from Woodley, across the river at Sonning & up a moderately challenging hill to Emmer Green. The route then returns you though Sonning, then through Twyford & out to Waltham St Lawrence (past the Bell Inn pub which does great sarnies & cask ales) before returning to Woodley via Chaervil. The route is predominately picturesque country lanes with light traffic.
Landmarks/Sites to see?
The route passes a fair number of country pubs, my favourite being the Bell Inn pub which does great sarnies & cask ales in Waltham St Lawrence. |
