Cycle Steps
1. The route, although it can be started anywhere, stars in redhill, bournemouth. it then quickly moves on to the outskirts of town. At the end of uddens drive, there is a path that leads straight to crossing the A31, take extra care here! The route then follows quiet, country lanes where you will encounter some hills. The last one of which is a very steep downhill run. Take care here. The route then follows the course of the river tarrant. You will then cross The B3082. Take care here as well. A few more hills follow until the route follows the stour valley. Be careful not to take wrong turnings here as it is very easy to. When you reach Wimbourne, try and follow the complex one way roads, which will depend on which direction you choose to travel. Cycling out of Wimbourne. You can Join the castleman trailway at the willet arms pub. Then you can follow this a long way until you encounter a roundabout with subways. The trailway continues until you encounter a sign to Poole town centre. Follow the side road cycle routeuntil the Holes bay roudabout. Carefully cross over to the cycle path near the water. then follow the route through poole town centreunyil following the parkstone bay path. then follow on to the Prom, where is an opportunity to refill your water bottle. At the pier, turn inland and follow the gardens, through the square, to Queens road. The route is then self explanatory back to the start. When I cycled this route, I managed it in one morning, in about four hours. This was a big mistake as I wore myself out on the hills at the start and I felt dead on the last leg. To make this route more enjoyable, I would leave a whole day for it and take in the scenery. I left very early in the morning to avoid traffic and saw deer, a hare, large birds of prey and some starlings flocking.
