Cycle Steps |
1. Ashington to Craster and back via coastal routes.
Mainly on quiet roads however it does get busy around Warkworth. But once through Warkworth there is some cycle specific pathway for a couple of miles.
The last part into Craster is mainly downhill however the down side is that the return out of Craster can be hard work (uphill all the way).
We come back a slightly different way when we get to Aclington Village this takes in a couple of steady climbs but can be avoided by going back past the prisons. |

Landmarks/Sites to see? |
Walkworth is a lovely spot to stop and take a break, either by the Castle or further on by the river, both lovely scenic areas. Walkworth has usual shops and pubs.
Further on you can stop at Lesbury which has a Spar which stocks the usual things. Craster is your typical old fishing village and the smell of smoked kippers is always available.
