1. This is a road route on A and B class roads. Irrespective of which way you ride round the route, it starts flat, followed by a long, long incline, then a flat stretch at the top. You then get a long, long decline and flat run to the finish. Make no mistake . . for me at least it is a real burner on the legs (and heart and lungs) - luckily plenty of watering holes on the way round and also quite a few eateries, so . . if you bottle it on the climb to the top, you can rest before the "arduous" downhill journey back to the start point :-) |
