| 1. This is a road route on A and B class roads, with at least one steepish climb, and one small section of busyish road around the M1 roundabout.
Starting at the Tesco's off Ling Road, A6004, head west, picking up Park Road, Belvoir Drive and Valley Road out of Loughborough and turn left onto Nanpantan Road. In Nanpatan, at the top of the hill, at the traffic lights next to the small pub on the right, take Snell's Nook Lane. At the end of the downhill straight turn left onto New Ashby Road, A512. Traffic is busyish here, but eventually dies down once the M1 has been crossed. Continue towards Ashby de la Zouch, on the A512, keeping a look out, just past Coleorton, for the right hand turn off onto Remstone Road, B5234. Join this nice B road to head towards Zouch staying on the B5324 all the way to the A6 junction. The B5234 is mosty flats and downhills, but has one steepish climb. Once at the A6 intersection, turn right onto the A6 and head back towards Loughborough, there are cycle paths most of the way on the left hand side of the road. Take the A6004, Alan Moss Road, and follow the A6004 back to the start point. |
