1. This is a fairly flat, road route, with small hills, on a mixture of A and B roads and country lanes, that is suitable for road bikes.
The route passes through many towns/villages, so there are plenty of chances to rest and buy drinks/food, with many country pubs on route too.
The flat open landscapes also offers lovely views across the countryside.
The route goes from Fairfield Park via Ickleford, Shefford, Ireland to Cardington then loop back via Cople, Northill, Caldicote, Henlow and Fairfield Park. |
