| 1. Circular taking in country lanes and byways. The off-road sections are very demanding in places (due to gradient and surface) and can become extremely water-logged and muddy following periods of heavy rain. There is not much on-road. Also, the byways tend to be narrow and appear at right angles to country lanes so care should be taken to spot the signposts when joining and for traffic when leaving.
