1. Circular route mainly on quiet roads and cycle paths, with some good steady climbs. (~ 2 hours)
Starts on the MK cycle paths, then onto roads through villages, returning via Woburn deer park and Brickhill woods, before a steep descent into Bow Brickhill and a level warm-down around Caldecotte lake.
For a harder ride, go in reverse - the climb up Bow Brickhill into the woods is very steep.
There are lots of off-road options in the woods.
Caldecotte Arms certainly isn't the best pub in MK, but its very convenient with plenty of parking right by the lake. For decent beer, take a pit stop in Woburn village. |
