Cycle Steps
1. This is a very short loop ideal for part of a bigger cycle. Starting at the junction of Oakridge Lane with the A5183 head away from the main road along the lane.
2. 0.5 mile on you come to a sharp 90 degree bend to the left. At this point look for the entrance to the bridleway and come off the road.
3. Follow the bridleway turning right at the first opportunity shortly after arriving on the bridle path.
4. Follow the bridle path around the forest and down onto to Crab Lane. Staying on Crab Lane cycle over the cross roads as you arrive in the built up area.
5. At the next junction there is 2 roads right, take the 2nd heading South East. Cycle for another half mile and turn left at the T-Junction taking you onto Church Lane.
6. Stay on Church lane until you see the first side road right leading onto Primrose Lane.
7. Stay on Primrose Lane following the road round until it turns in to Common Lane leading into Radlett.
8. Once in Radlett you can take the 1st or 2nd side road right, both take you to the same place. Eventually landing you back on the A5183. Turning left here will take you back to where you started.
Landmarks/Sites to see?
The church of St John The Baptists is impressive and dates mostly from the 14th and 15th centuries. Along the river sites of several Roman Villas can be found. Roundbush pub, half way around the loop is an ideal place for a break.
