| 1. This route takes you through South East London, past Dartford and on to Gravesend. You then get the Gravesend to Tilbury ferry across the river and continue on to Southend from there. It is mostly flat (especially around Tilbury) but there are hills of note among the chalk cliffs in Northfleet, and a steep one in Thundersley just before you get to Southend. |
