| 1. This is a reasonably long road route that I use for fitness training. Apart from the short bit through Dorking town centre, it sticks entirely to country roads or cycle paths and is suitable for road bikes. It visits most of the good climbs around the Dorking area, such as the one out of Westhumble up to Ranmore, the one between Shere and Ewhurst, the one up into Coldharbour and the "Zig Zag Road" between Westhumble and Box Hill. |
