1. This is a moderate road route, mainly on A and B roads, that has hills to climb at the beginning, but is generally all downhill from the half way point.
It goes from Salisbury Station, past the Cathedral and out onto the A338. You follow this to the B3080 turn off for the cute village of Downton. You then follow B roads through the beauitful New Forest and down to the M27 roundabout. Go straight across the roundabout and follow the A31 onto the Cadnam roundabout. Go straight across onto the A336 and follow A roads into Southampton, finishing at the Town Quay.
This takes roughly 3 Hours or you could make it a day and explore Salisbury first. |
