Cycle Steps |
1. Mainly quiet rural B roads through agricultural countryside and attractive villages and hamlets. Mostly gently rolling or flat, with one stiff climb out of Ashdon into Church End. Route is single track from Sewards End to B184 Saffron Walden to Thaxted road. (the B184 is the busiest section for traffic). One or two sections have poor road surface and require care, but worst sections have recently been resurfaced (over summer 2010). |

Landmarks/Sites to see? |
No shops/services to speak of on the route, but there is a Spar shop near to the start/finish point. Nearest bike shop is in Saffron Walden (name escapes me but it's near the fire station)
