1. This is an enjoyable 7.5 mile loop of the park, with some very good climbs and descents (both ways round), that stays on the main thoroughfare roads that form a ring in the park.
Unfortunatly there is a 20 mph speed limit (not heavily enforced to cyclists).
Be careful when decending, as the roads have some nasty grooves and pot holes.
It can get quite a lot of traffic on nice days, but nothing too severe until you get to Pembroke Lodge.
One final note: Beware of the Deer. (It's not that they have anything personal against cyclists, it's just that they are big and hard and you will come off second best) |
