Cycle Steps |
1. Starting on the bridge heading away from town, turn left on to Abbey Road. |
2. Cycle for about 1 and a half miles until you can see a side road left to Llantysilio, just after the first row of houses in about a mile. Take this left. |
3. After you pass the small village of Llantysilio you will soon arrive at Rhewl, carry straight on through Rhewl and out the back of the village. The road will soon turn into a track. |
4. Shortly after cycling on the track there is a severe climb(Dringfa Serth) so take it easy. |
5. Stay on the track and don't take any turn offs until you arrive at a T-Junction with another path. Turn left here and keep cycling until you arrive at the road. |
6. Turn left onto the road and follow it south bearing left shortly after you cross a Cattle Grid. This will take you over another nice track cutting out a corner of the road. |
7. When you arrive at the houses you will come to a T-Junction, turn left here, effectively doubling back on yourself. |
8. Cycle for another 3 miles and you will arrive in another small village just beside the River Dee. There is a place here to stop and have a drink. |
9. Carrying on, you will arrive back in Rhewl. Turning left will take you back over the original steps 1-3 and hence back in Llangollen. |

Landmarks/Sites to see? |
Sun Inn, plenty of small cafes in LLangollen. Recommended just down from the Tourist information centre there is a wee cafe that has 2 entrances, very nice.
