| 1. Mainly country roads. There is a long stretch of uphill to the head of the Tarrent Valley followed by a very steep downhill run into Melbery Abbas. You regain that hieght with a steep pull from Melbery Abbas, then up the hairpin bends to be rewarded by beautiful views. It is largely downhill or flat from then on. |
