| 1. This is a really nice route mostly away from roads, although there are some - particularly near the beginning before getting into Almondell, if you know the park there are a couple of other ways through it, I sometimes go up to East Calder instead of coming along past the sewage works (this is near the end and although quite scenic can smell a bit on occasion!) and out to midcalder, and go along the main street towards Mid Calder, and then up station road and into Craigshill that way. | |

| Almondell country park, there is a small shop in the information centre here which does munchies, but not much else. If i was planning to stop I would take a picnic. |
