1. Mostly country lanes with final few miles on cycle tracks(just about suitable for a sports cycle,a bit bumpy but manageable)
The route passes some quite picturesque old Cheshire churches,Whitegate,Church minshall and Warmingham.
The route follows the perimeter of Oulton Park motor racing circuit and passes close to Leighton hospital.it is mostly undulating country lanes with only a few short steep sections.
There are pubs in most of the villages en route ,so numerous opportunities for refreshment.
The last section runs on the cycle path alongside the river Weaver where you can see the oldest remaining dockyard in Northwich that is now used for renovating a variety of privately owned craft of all shapes and sizes.
