Cycle Steps
1. Start in the lovely village of Quainton and head out past Bucks Railway Centre to the A41. Short stretch on this very busy road and turn left to Westcott. Through Westcott and up the hill to Ashendon, plenty of outstanding views, then down again past Pollicott, over the river and up the hill again to Winchendon X roads. Straight over, down the hill, over the river and up to Cuddington, past another good pub but no time to stop. Onwards to the busy A418 near Dinton, turn right towards Thame, watch the traffic. At Thame turn right up hill to Long Crendon, good cafe by crossing. Turn left to Shabbington, right to Worminghall then right again back up to Oakley. Chandos Arms is worth a stop for a bite to eat or a coffee. Turn right again then left and up into Brill. Good steep sections up here, into village centre, turn left towards the windmill. Down to X roads and turn right then left heading towards Ludgershall. Second left in Ludgershall to the A41, turn left minding traffic again, then left again towards Piddington. Wind through Piddington, past farms, railway bridge and kennels up to main road. Then take a left and go up the lovely Muswell Hill, you will enjoy it, I promise! Down the other side and left at the same X roads you passed earlier but then take the next right and go back up the steep side again into Brill. Keep straight and down again to the left turn for Chilton. Great views all round. At top of hill turn left to head out of Chilton, past Ashfold School, on to Wooton Underwood, then up the steep hill into the back of Ashendon again. Turn right at the top, down over the river once more and up the steep hill the Winchendon X roads. Turn left this time and follow the ridge up and down all the way to the A41, great views again. Cross A41 on to Blackgrove Road, over railway bridge, past RSPCA centre and turn left to Quainton. I think you will deserve a pint in the pub by then.
