1. Did this as a British Cycling Breeze Ride in March 2012. Gentle, leisurely ride, avoiding main roads as much as possible, with a scenic traffic-free stretch along the Thames Path between Wandsworth and Hammersmith Bridge. Best for hybrid or mountain bikes, as the route is unpaved from Putney to Barnes. Need to walk bikes on river frontage just before Putney Bridge, or drop back and cycle the busy Putney Bridge Rd/Putney High Street. |
