| 1. Ardnamurchan to Peterhead Pt 2. A planned coast to coast from furthest West to furthest East habitations taking in some of the best scenary in Scotland. Trying to avoid main roads where possible. I have not yet tested any of this route although I have driven/been driven much of this section. Watch out for cars full of steamy hillwalkers in the late afternoon. If you've had it with main roads by the time you get to Tyndrum (or Bridge of Orchy), take the train North to Rannoch then head east to join this route (shorter too). Warning: A 500m mountain pass is involved in this route - be prepared. |
